'Hiro' Hedgehog Sewing Box
The set contains a needle, thread, scissors, and a hedgehog-shaped pincushion in a compact paulownia wood box measuring 8cm wide x 6cm deep x 5cm high.
The hedgehog-shaped pincushion is extremely adorable. It has a special meaning for needlesworkers, as hedgehog translates to 'pin mouse' in Japanese!
The needle is a convenient 'one-touch' needle made in Hiroshima that makes threading easy (see images).
The five colours of thread can be rewound on the spool.
The scissors are the smallest in Japan at 45mm in length, but they are extremely sharp.
Needles and scissors can be fixed in place using a plum-shaped magnet attached to the lid of the box.
*The hedgehog-shaped pincushions are handmade by needle felting, so each one has a different character.
