Kutani ceramics have been made in the Ishikawa prefecture of Japan for over 300 years and are popular for their bright, vibrant designs. Kokutani is the most traditional style, and uses 5 colours (green, yellow, red, purple, dark blue).
The pincushion is handmade in Kanazawa by 'Hiro'.
The box comes packaged in a lovely cardboard outer, making it perfect to give as a gift.
