This is the most reasonably priced sarashi fabric you will find!
It is the same fabric (and size) as used to make the 'hanafukin' sashiko samplers and is perfect for doing your own sashiko stitching onto.
Loosely woven 100% cotton, sarashi fabric is traditionally used in Japan to make 'fukin' towels, and even used underwear for kimono as it is light, breathable and absorbant. It is woven in a narrow width of 34cm.
This fabric is pre-cut into 34cm x 71cm lengths, ready for you to fold in half and stitch onto. It is only available in white. Other colours can be found at the bottom of this page here
