This beautiful pre-printed 'hanafukin' sampler features sashiko, hitomezashi and kugurezashi stitching. The designs which make the diamond shape are kugurezashi - where rows of sashiko or hitomezashi stitching are applied as a base, before other threads are woven between these stitches and the fabric underneath. It's simpler than it sounds!
This item does not include threads, so you will need to buy these separately. You will need approximately 60m of thread, so 2 of the medium 100m skeins (as seen in the example picture) are perfect. You can have fun choosing your own combination of colours. I would love to see the result!
