Mizuhiki is Japanese paper twisted into long, thin cords which are then knotted and shaped into these beautiful decorations. Traditionally used to decorate money envelopes, special gifts and hair ornaments, mizuhiki can also be made into large sculptures and is even used in traditional hair styling for geisha and sumo wrestlers!
