Last year, the organisers rearranged the halls a little, and we worried that people might struggle to find us, so we ordered a huge 6m stand so we couldn't be missed! It really worked well, everyone found us and we had our best show ever. The downside was, we didn't really have enough stock to keep the space full for 4 days, or we could have done even better!
This year, our family circumstances have changed somewhat and I'll be doing the show on my own, as Boyf now has a 'proper job' so he can't help with driving, setting up/breaking down etc. Grrr. Fortunately, he got this job just before I booked the stand at FoQ, so I was able to plan accordingly. So, I'm trying out a smaller stand but bringing just as much stock as before. Plus, this year's fabric selection is better than ever, so I'm really excited to bring it to the show.
With no Boyf in the car, there is even space to see out of the rearview mirror - the car is practically empty compared to last year!!!
If you are going, or thinking of going, do check out the new Festival of Quilts website - there are pages for each exhibitor (here's Japan Crafts) and lots of information on the interesting galleries, workshops and other things to see and do. One day really isn't enough so go for all 4 if you can!
Whether you're a new friend or an old one, I'm looking forward to seeing you there x
